NAF Portal for DSSC Recruitment
The Nigerian Air Force Portal for recruitment is nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng. This portal is for both DSSC and the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC), i.e, Tradesmen and non-tradesmen/women. The portal is open for recruitment of Direct Short Service Course candidates and runs from August 27, 2025, to October 7, 2025.
Nigerian Air Force Recruitment General Requirements for DSSC Candidates
There are lots of requirements that applicants need to meet before applying for the recruitment exercise. There are academic requirements, age limit requirements, and height requirements. The following requirements must be met for applicants to be eligible:
- Applicants must not be less than 1.66m tall for males and not less than 1.63m tall for females.
- Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.
- Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 32 years, while Medical Doctors (consultants) could be between the ages of 25 and 40 years at the time of the application.
- Local Government Area Attestation Form.
- Two recent passport-size photographs to be stamped and countersigned by an officer of appropriate rank.
- Birth certificate or Declaration of Age.
- Original and photocopy of Indigeneship certificate from the applicant’s Local Government/State of Origin.
- Attestation to Good Character signed by an Officer of appropriate rank as specified in paragraph 6.
- Applicants must be free of any previous convictions on criminal grounds by a court of law.
- Any Applicant suspected of impersonation and falsification of documents will be disqualified, arrested, and handed over to the appropriate authority.
- Interested applicants must possess a Second Class Upper Division for holders of a first degree and Upper Credit for HND holders.
- MSc/MA as well as Computer literacy will be added advantages.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
- Applicants must possess credit in English Language and Mathematics as well as 3 additional credits related to their course of study.
- Applicants must possess NYSC Discharge Certificate or Letter of Exemption from NYSC at the time of applying for DSSC.
- Medical applicants must possess certificates of registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria.
